Filmmaking Competition 


Are you a filmmaker or a composer — we’ve got something really exciting for you here! 

Join o-region’s #60secondfilmchallenge2021 and create a film that’s no longer than 60 seconds, related to the theme “Home”. Show your creativity and interpret the theme however you like. It could be documentary, animation, drama or comedy, musical or horror… no limits in genre. 

DEADLINE is August 1st and the competition is absolutely FREE to enter.

The filmmaking challenge, which this year has the theme ‘Home’ has been running for several years and last year received an incredible 618 entries from 75 different countries.  So there are great opportunities for you to build your network and portfolio, as well as maybe win a great prize, through this tie-up between The Cue Tube and o-region.

Awards & Prizes

All the awards will be selected by a specially invited judging panel of industry professionals with the exception of the Audience Award, which will be chosen by an online public vote.

• BEST FILM – £1000 and a limited screening run at WTW’s iconic Plaza Cinema in Truro

• RUNNER UP – £350

• BEST YOUNG PERSONS FILM (under 18s) – £250



Cornwall based filmmakers will receive two complimentary cinema tickets if their film is selected for the final shortlist.
